I LOVE A-MUR-I-CAAA!!

Well Family, Happy 4th of July. I just got finished reading all of your emails and they all made me tear up a little bit. I have a great family who have great testimonies!
So the stake that we are in had a little fourth of July thing this morning with pancakes and some songs, we went because one of the families we are teaching went. We also decided to go all out and dress up...so im wearing my red skirt a white sweater with blue strips and red lipstick. Yay america. Haha. I will send pictures next week or something.
Oh and since its the fourth of July the library is closed and so is the family history center so Im here in the apple store writing my email on a macbook. KILL ME. and we walked by a Jcrew...but before we went inside i told my companion to make me keep walking...im a missionary I cant do stuff like that. ahhh.
Speaking of next week...next week is the last week of the transfer so I might be transfered...I think something will change because 2 new Hermanas are coming and my companion will be one of the oldest in the mission and hasnt trained yet...so she will probably train and I think Ill go back to Oxnard, but you never know. I dont want to change our companionship right now BUT I know I will do what the Lord wants me to do and it will be GREAT.
Ok well I forgot my agenda in the house with all the things I wanted to tell you guys and I looked at my compy and told her and she said "peloso". THis means ....hairy. So first story. So this week we were walking down a busy street in thousand oaks and we walked by this one car full of white males who were like 20-25. They were yellin stuff at us but we couldnt hear them..i figured they were trying to flirt with us or something so we just kept walking...then we were waiting to cross the street and we hear honking so we look over and BAM. Hairy bum fully hanging out the window. Barf Barf Barf. Ha. haha. But really...weird.
Then later that day we were tracting and we started walking up to a guy who was sitting in his chair and shirtless and started talking but we didnt get to close....good thing because we then realized he was probably....NAKED....gross. WHy life? Why? Im a missionary....hahaha. But ya..weird day.
Then something important is that we got to meet our new mission president on Saturday. He has a family and 3 of them still live at home. THey are all so sweet. I def. felt a huge confirmation that he is suppose to be our mission president right now. He talked to us about obedience and things like that and we came out super inspired. Im going to miss the Murri's but I am so excited to get to know the Castro's and love them. I already do. THey are from equador, so they speak perfect spanish.
Oh speaking of spanish....ill tell you something funny. I seriously have a problem switching from spanish to english english to spanish. Like something that i really love in our companion ship is that we NEVER speak in english, BUT there are plenty of people around us who dont speak spanish. Like the elders, so we have to speak english sometimes. Anyway like this morning I was talking to our investigator in spanish and then I started speaking to the Elders in spanish. hahah and NO ONE stops me until I realize what I was doing haha. Its ridiculous!
Oh and one thing you probably already know..but we were at dinner at a english members house and they started telling me that the brother of the husband lives in Las Vegas...in the NW, so he texted him and he is in the Copper Crest ward. Small world. Last name is Hawkins. Anyway so we were sitting there and Bro. Hawkins was like well...Hna Tippetts...the Skousen's say hi...and I know your first name now. Ha. It was so weird knowing that he was talking to his brother who was with people I know. The Skousen's are awesome.
Ok..so I normally dont share scriptures with you all but I promisethat I read the BOOk of mormon everyday and I love it..but today I wanted to share a scripture that I read this morning and I love it. 1 Nefi 15:24-25. This is pretty much how I feel every morning and what I want to do every day.
The work here is moving...we see a lot more rejection here but it makes the people who want to listen even sweeter to us.
I really am grateful for my companion Hna Burch as well. She makes me laugh and she is always willing to listen to how Im feeling. We had an experience where we thought that our investigator needed 2 different things but it led us to really seek direction from the Lord and to really talk about how we feel about things. I feel like Im just learning so much and I love who Im becoming. I just read a email that was forwarded to me from my MTC companion and she was saying the same thing. THe mission is amazing and I hope every young man that reads this reconsiders serving a mission and that every young women is living worthily to serve so if that time comes they can.
I love you all so much and hope you have a happy fourth of July. Thank you all for updating me on whats going on. I know Im not really good at responding to what you have said to me but I promise it means a lot to me and I always tell my compy everything that my family is doing and going through.

Oh and the girls camp story is SO crazy. I was sitting here laughing while i pictured the two of you holding up your tent. Oh man. good memories.

I LOVE YOU!!!
